I can't believe that I am going to do a sales pitch, but here goes...
Commodore 64 owners-- Do you have a reasonably large stack of non-copyprotected disks (games, demos, text files...anything Commodore 64 scene related) that you have either stored away and forgotten about or think that you'll transfer to the PC "someday"?
I have recently started in with a group of guys who are looking to chronicle the once great C64 demo/BBS scene, and WE NEED SOFTWARE! Anything you've got that will help us piece together a reasonably accurate timeline through scrolltexts, demos, buffer captures and the like. Local scene stuff, big-time group stuff, whatever you have.
If anyone is willing to send me the software, I will transfer them to D64 images, burn them to a CD and send them back to you... CD(s) and all.
OR, if you have no use for them anymore, you may donate them to the project outright. I will still send you copies of the software in D64 format if you wish via FTP, E-Mail or however you desire.
Even if you have already transfered the stuff but haven't dumped it to the 'net yet, I'd really like to get my hands on what you have.
Please, please, please PM me if you think you can help out on the project! Thanks!
