I dont know if imma allowed to do this but imma try anyway.. I started a forum for all us DIYers nothing arcade related its for like all the ghetto building stuff. Like the hammock and the fiber optic star ceiling...diy projectors.  If anyone  wants to help it would be greatly helpful.

Hey, I love this idea, but I think you need content first, forums second.

I'd like to say that most communities don't start with forums, but with information. If you built a page that gave lots of good links, divided into sub categories, you'd have a lot more interested people. For example -

www.mp3car.com - build your own mp3 system for your car

www.hometheaterforums.com
www.avsforums.com  - Both theater sites

of course,
www.arcadecontrols.com

There are other sites, such as the Bar Monkey, the build your own projector, numerous sites on how to build your own jukeboxes, but those escape me.

I'd really like to see a site that gets updated with new project ideas. Like a slashdot without the political ---That which is odiferous and causeth plants to grow---.

Thats what im working on now is a website. The forum was a fast idea. But the more I think about it the more it sounds better to start off with a website. Kind of all those DIY projects combined into one site. Instead of having to search the web for hours looking for bits and pieces of projects. Ive been collecting all the DIY stuff on here and Ill combine it all on the website. And yes updates of the projects.

OK this is what I came up with so far...Ive never built a website before so it's kind of a learn as you go thing. And I apollogize for the website address some guy said I could have it and it has alot of space on it. I'll figure out how to change the name later. Heres the start

Hey, I like the page, obviously needs more content. But every good page started somewhere. I'd ask saint for advice on how to start a thriving community.
