Well, I've have been lurking around here for 3 months since my wife got me Saint's book for Xmas. (She didnt know what she was getting me into!).
-
Looks great!

Its not the monitor I wanted (19' CRT), but it will do for now. The plexi in front of the homemade bezel (frame mat) still has teh protective film on it so it looks weird. I am going to start on the control panel sometime in May. I have already hinged it, which I am sure I will appreciate when it comes time to wire things up. Ponyboy should expect an order request from me in May/June. I am wanting to finsih the cab first with all the artwork, t-molding, etc first. If its one thing that I have learned on this site is that if I have a completed CP and can play I will never get this done!

Nice job! Post some more pictures.
How are ya gonna fit a 19' monitor in that cab? ;D
-
Haha....I have a REALLY big garage and this photo is taken from about 40 yards.......really big cab. :P
As requested I am posting some more pics below.......
-
Oh no, another cab taking my name ;D
Damn, no respect for the dead. My cab dies 4 days ago, and someone already scoops the name up.. ;)

Paint tent in garage.....painted cab with a wagner power painter and its turning out great!!!!
I was also thinking of calling it 'The Arcadium'....if it makes ya feel better....
-
What a mess!
-
But its starting to come together.....
-
I was only joking about the name. ;D
I think that when I bring my cab back, it'll be called Son of Arcadia. Unless you name your Arcadia. Then that would imply that my cab is the son of your cab but i built my cab fi... oh my god I've gone crosseyed.
-
BTW your cab looks great. Keep up the good work!
-
Just a random question...........
I am going to get a Happs 3'' trackball translucent blue to light up and a Tornado spinner. Both are available with USB plug n play. However, I was also thinking of doing the trackball without the harness and going with an Oscar V2 spinner with an Opti to hook them up. Anybody have a preference over one or the other????
-
I think i will please nipsmg  and change over to a new name for my cabinet. 'The Asylum'. Going with a theme now with all the nice work I have seen on the Hall of Fame. Below is the link for a request for someone if they want to help me with the artwork.......please....

True.....its small. It doesnt look like 19 inches when in this cab. However, it will have to do unless I come into some money to buy a larger one. It will be upgrade someday!

Great looking cab, but I have to agree the monitor looks lost in there.

Based on LUSIDs designs. The thing is huge! I had to put it in my office because even with the CP removed it wouldnt manuver down my hallway to squeeze into my back bedroom.

Nice job. Looks really professional. Do you have a cost estimate on how much you put into building that?
It looks every bit as good as any prefab cab (Slikstik, etc) out there.

Looks great!
My only question is why doesn't the joysticks on the instruction sheet match the actual joysticks? Did you draw that diagram up youself?
Great work!

I pulled the initial instruction sheet from somewhere else. Its based off a Slikstik model. I Photoshoped extra buttons, moved the trackball, joysticks, etc. However, the initial sticks didnt match and I didnt feel my photoshop skills were good enough to draw one like that on the CP. I should change the color to match, though.

This cab is just begging for a 27 inch TV or monitor!
