the title says it all.

Even more worrisome is the thought of where could he be that has no internet access!?? Is he in the middle of the sahara? Rain forest? The arctic? ;D
-
i heard he left the UK, but it's all hearsay, or however you spell that. he left a long time ago and i've been waiting for a month or two, but i never knew vacations lasted so long in the middle of the year. i expected to wait a couple weeks...but obviously not. i already wrote him a message explaining that he shouldn't leave us for so long since we can't take care of ourselves, and informed him of the update he needed due to the new 49way interface.
well, we can only hope he's alright and will come back soon.

Unlike us North American folks who can only take 2 weeks at a time.

never thought of looking at his last posts.

Unlike us North American folks who can only take 2 weeks at a time. Minwah lives in the UK and probably gets 6-8 weeks a year for holidays. And by checking his old posts you'll know he took the time off and travelled to Australia.
The LUCKY Merkins get two weeks, I don't get any!

GG, you really believe vacation time is dictated by what country you live in!?!?
I always thought it depended on who you work for and how many years...
-
In my company, it depends on where you live. I'm in the US, but my comrades in Canada get about twice the holidays as I do.
I think the Italians get the most time off. I've heard that whole country shuts down the month of August.
-
I think Belgians get between 4 and 6 weeks a year.

Nope!
- Australia, Min 4 weeks when you start any job.
- Greece - Most majo rbusiness close in August except for tourist places
- UK/Germany/Belgians - 4 - 6 weeks based on years of experience
(I think Belgians only work 4 days a week too)
Only in North American is everyone business business business.. thats it. Elsewhere its like they quality of life first, business second.

I live in the US and, while I am in the "exception to the rule category", I get 30 days paid a year plus sick leave. Sick leave doesn't have a cap on it. You can build up as much as you can I think it's four hours a pay period. Normal vacation has a cap and you can only build up so much, though the number is pretty high. Now, granted, I'm a government worker (easy on the jokes) but, most government employees get the same deal. Military gets the same as well but, it's a lot harder to actually use it when you want (serverd 6 years USN). One more reason gov't employees are hated by all civilians.

Comrades ?, where you originaly from brother.
Also watch out about the italian comments i might get offended and throw some momma mias your way.
Lol. I use the word comrades a lot, but I've never even been to the Soviet block. The little lady is Italian, so you watch out or I'll have her people talk to your people "back home". ;)

My brother works for "the man". At least once a month we have the following conversation:
Him - "What are you doing tomorrow?"
Me - "After work?"
Him - "You have to work tomorrow?"
Me - "Not this again..."
