Does anybody know the dimensions of the control panels for Asteroids and/or Defender?
-
What dimensions? Spacing between controls, width/height, or both?
-
Just width/length.
-
Here's some measurements from the CPOs found at the Arcade Art Library
(Defender vectorized by Mahuti, Asteroids by Nannuu).
You could also check Jakobuds site for Defender measurements.

Lots of help. Thanks JoyMonkey!

That Defender size can't be right, I have owned several of them, and the panel is like 23" or 24" wide, I can't measure it until I get home, but I know the sucker has a panel wider than 20".
An asteroids panel is wider than that too.

I thought so too. Is there an inch or two either side of the CPO print area or something? Jakobud (http://www.jakobud.com)'s Defender plans say that the CP is 24 1/2" wide.

I dunno, my Defender currently has a Multiwilliams overlay, and previously had a Willis Defender overlay, it never had an original.

I can only speak on Asteroids Deluxe, but for AD the overlay goes right to the edge of the panel. There is no open space.

I have an original Defender control panel sitting right next to me.
The exact dimensions are 24 1/2" x 7 15/16".
The top is cut at a bevel so the bottom side dimension is 7 5/8".
