My wife wants to get a family cell phone plan. And I don't really care to much for them (free long distance at home, at work... so it would be used on the commute only).
But I found that I can get an NGage for free when I start the plan... AND there is a mame port for it. (That and GameBoy/Advance and a few others... plus Java!)
The question is this... Anyone have one? How good is the emulation? Any games worth it?

Whoa, back up! Where can you get free Ngage for signing up?

I've got an NGage and I love it.
I don't play any NGage games on it though. eeMame runs beautifully on it, here's the site:
http://www.harmonicode.com/EEMame
and here's a list of supported games and how well they play:

Nokia series 60 phones are great, there's a wealth of software out there for them. My wife has a 3650 which is also S60 and will play a handful of Mame games.
The only thing I don't like about my NGage is that the placement of the microphone that makes you look like you're talking into a taco; but I believe the NGageQD doesn't suffer from this.

T-Mobile USA has a free NGageQD with new plan sign-ups.

NGage + mame = really crappy way of playing arcade games.
and yes ive played the Ngage. still sucks.

I just got one of those free T-Mobile N-Gage QDs on Monday. The website did not mention this, and neither did the chick on the phone when I called up and ordered, but there was a $50 rebate form in the box with it, too. So, not only did I get it without paying a dime, but it looks like Nokia is going to send me $50, too!
Haven't tried MAME yet, I'm still fighting my Bluetooth connection.

Thanks for the link. I got the green light from Mrs. Stingray to switch out cellular carrie to T-Mobile, so it looks like I'll be getting an Ngage.

Got my N-Gage yesterday. My MMC card & Bluetooth dongle aren't here yet though. I can't wait to get them so I can try out MAME on this thing. Genuine arcade Galaga on my phone almost seems too good to be true!
Does anyone here have any experience with the NES emulators? There are several available, not sure which one to go with.
