I just got my trackball off of ebay in the mail today. It was a white ball, but years of use in a golden-tee-golf machine with sweaty, dirty palms had given alot of orange-colored spots, scratches, and smudges. It felt a little rough and dirty when I spun it as well. But I had a great solution to the problem. I took the ball out of the unit and brought it into the bathroom, and using an un-used toothbrush, some water, and whitening toothpaste, I gave the whole thing a thorough scrub, as if I was brushing teeth. After a few minutes, I achived excellent results. The thing looks white as a pearl, and the toothpaste helped get rid of alot of the scratches. And best of all, now the ball has minty fresh breath! ;D

I'm only 18, so I'm not married yet. But maybe I would have used my brother's toothbrush if he was being a moron today. ;D
