Title: PSone Steering Wheels
Post by: MajorLag on April 18, 2005, 05:17:57 pm
I've been looking for a steering wheel recently for a few systems. It would be great if I could get one that would work on both a Playstation and a Dreamcast (I love crazy taxi), but I'd settle for one that just worked proporly with a playstation.

I tried the MC2, which supposedly supports the PSone, but it did not work as intended. It is supposed to emulate the right analog stick with the pedals as well as X and Square, but doesn't. At least it doesn't on the PSone, it may on a PS2, I don't know.

So anyways, I'm looking for suggestions on where to find a good wheel for the playstation, one that will let me use the pedals as analog and isn't too shoddy. A shifting stick would be nice, but is not required. Any ideas?

I have an older MadCatz steering wheel that always worked well for me on the PS1.  You might be able to find one on eBay?  I'll sell ya mine if you want too since I have a logitech wheel now, but I'm not sure it'll do exactly what you want.  It worked for all the PS1 games I ever used, and it was a decent control all-around.

EDIT:

here's a pic of the model I have.

I'm sure you'll be able to find some on eBay.

I've still got these.  Not sure how much shipping would be though.
