Title: Dumb question - first cabinet
Post by: dweebs0r on April 17, 2005, 01:08:51 pm
When building a cocktail cabinet does the underlay simply lay between the glass and the top or should it be secured?  should it be secured with double sided tape of some sort?  Secure it to the glass or the wood top?
Seemingly obvious question I know but perplexing to the novice builder.

Thanks,
-Dweebs

http://www.arcadedepot.com/HTML/glass_clips.html

Glass clips are need to hold the glass in place. if you used tape you would be able to see the it through the glass.

p.s you can get them cheaper where but i cant remember where.

I have a set of the glass clips.

My question is about the underlay.

Should it be secured to the wood with tape (on the bottom of the underlay) or does it just sandwich between the glass and the wood unsecured.

Thx,
