Pic?
Maybe the connector for the Ms. Pac ribbon cable has been torn off, exposing the pins for the cable?
Do the stickers on ROMS at locations 5e and 5f read "Ms. Pac Man" or "Pac man"?

too clean to be torn off - was at ca the day they were coming off the truck (for you youngsters that's C.A. Robinson's in CA.)thought it was the stupidest game i had seen to date - any way back to the topic -I'll check chip i.d. - any body else have a theory?

Pin headers instead of a socket???
(Basically a socket without the plastic that surrounds it.)
Kinda like this but with less plastic around them.

solved my own problem - original pac boards had a male to female addapter which for some reason was removed - found same addapter on on of my ms pac mother boards - don't have any idea why it was removed (it just slips over the male pins and allows the z80 to plug in - also any idea where i might purchase one?
