Hi All,
Well my new Hantarex 25" Polo monitor arrived today . Great , I removed my 14 year old MTC9110 and fitted the new one without any major issues . OK , so I switch it on and leave it for 15 minutes . Now here's my dilema . The words Horizontal , Vertical and Focus mean something to me . However the words Contrast , Brightness and Screen mean very little . Well , to me they all seem to do the same . Please don't shoot me , I know they don't , but they all seem to control the "Brightness" to me . Anyway , I've done a little bit of tweaking and I've got it more or less the way I want it . The only thing is that the white words/numbers are a bit "sparkilly" . You know like a star . Now I'm NEVER going to touch the RGB pots but could some kind person give me a reasonably simple technique to setting up these 3 pots .
Thanks in advance
Sammy

Adjust the Brightness first so that Black areas of the screen are black not gray, then adjust the contrast so the whites are bright without being washed out. Finally adjust the focus so the display of text and lines is sharp and not fuzzy.
If you have a PC plugged into the monitor download the 'Nokia Monitor Test' program from http://www.retroblast.com/files.html. This can be used to show patterns on the screen that make it easier to set it up.
