Title: Fighting game buttons/joysticks position
Post by: drabbit on November 20, 2002, 03:31:12 pm
I'm restoring a Street fighter cabinet and making a new control panel for it. I would like to have the buttons and joysticks positioned at the exact positions they should be for a street fighter cab. I have found the distance between the buttons from an overlay but the overlay I have has a seperate peice for the buttons/joystick. What I'm actually looking for is at what distance should the joysticks be compared to the buttons and how far apart is player 1 from player 2. Also is the joystick mounted with it's long side up/down or right/left?

Here is what I have so far: each button is 1 5/8" apart and the two rows of 3 buttons are 1 1/2" apart.

Thanks for any help!

Most sticks I have seen are long ways up/down.  I could tell by the bolt heads coming through the panel.

Cheers
