Title: Artwork on Aluminium Panels
Post by: chablis97 on April 13, 2005, 04:57:53 am
I'm just starting to renovate an old cocktail cabinet with an aluminum control panel.  The original art is in very poor shape and what remains comes off very easily. See below

Any tips on how to put new art onto the aluminium?, or should I just spray black?

Curious.  Whats the panel like on the other side?  If high dpi pics were taken of both panels, could you roughly construct the full artwork?

With some decent pics of this simplistic artwork and accurate dimensions of the control panel, I'd have a look at replicating it for you(vector trace) so as you can produce new overlays .

That is if you want to restore the cabinet back to what it was!?

I was thinking the same way spriggy.  I've done a bit of vector graphics work before, not much though, so any help would be appriciated.  The artwork on the other side is a little better (becuase its Player 2).  I'll put up some pics.
