Title: naki vga box - DC

anyone ever have problems hacking this, so it displays at 15khz? all i'm getting is a black screen w/ scanlines that lights up. thanks.

It should work (provided you cut the correct wire).  One ground is also sufficient.  Did you use a multimeter to trace pin #6?  or just count from one side over and cut the 6th wire?

hey dave, i did use the multimeter but it was not in order. it was the 7th one over. when i did the continuity test, both 6 and 7 were giving me a reading. so i cut one, and tested the wire but it was wrong. spliced it back and did the other. i'll try switching it to tv mode instead, in case it was mislabelled. thanks

Checking on a PC monitor will let you know if you cut the correct wire or not (it shouldn't work with a pc monitor anymore).  Yeah both 7 and 6 will read the same on a multimeter because they are both connected to ground.  ;D  So in affect, you are removing pin 6 from ground when you cut it.
