Title: Minimum needed to play Mortal Kombat 3
Post by: wackychimp on November 20, 2002, 01:16:25 pm: Ok mostly I want to play classic games which my PII 500 (256MB RAM) is fine for. However, when I try to play Mortal Kombat 3 it just stinks. Very jerky and weird sound.

So as I start the MAME cab project what do I need to run MK3? And would the video card be a factor in this too?

(Oh and maybe Soul Edge too.... is that emulated by MAME?)

Post by: SNAAAKE on November 20, 2002, 03:23:18 pm: an XP 1600 should play mk perfectly...forget about soul edge.ADD the best game ever in your cabinet...soul caliber for dreamcast.if you have ps2 then soul caliber 2 is another choice.love those games ;D.

Post by: Howard_Casto on November 22, 2002, 02:48:10 pm: 900 mhz athlon... runs full speed. It run acceptable on a 6/700 mhz too. I would reccomend anything lower than a gig though.

There is another emulator for KI and KI2 gold.

I have both games and tried on my xp 1800..ran pretty smooth.
