OK sound off like ya got a pair....
From the sounds of it it looks like the michigan area has quite the following for arcade fanatics counting me skate', nullboy, Hoagie, Wakerlet, Oscar, and a few others.. darkobold sometin? ;)
Regardless I have my Dorky Nintendo repair technician blue shirt. Holla if ya see me. Don't be shy.

In addition there is a Pinball swapmeet slash Tournament that is held in the same building. its like 5 bux to get in and everything is on freeplay. I pay just to keep it going but rarly play more than 2 or 3 pins. very cool though.
Thats not me BTW...

I'm 70% sure ill be their. Wife sprung some Saturday plans on me and I have to figure out how im gonna handle it.
-
Funny, I came to the board to post a roll call. I'll be there, no question -
I'll be wearing my Blue abercrombie hoodie and a mushroom - game over - black nintendo shirt. My name is Kyle, btw.
Also, I'll be looking for a low burnin working 19" monitor. If anyone has one to sell, drop me a line.
Hoagie - I'd suggest handling it with the back of your hand. Of course, I'm single, so what do I know?

Ed,
Glad to see you're going to make it. I'm in Germany for work over the next 11 days so I can't go...maybe in June. I was talking to JimmyJet and he mentioned he may go...he'll probably have a Jets hat on if he shows ;)
Good luck all. I hope prices are reasonable.

Dammit, I'd love to go but I gotta work the next two weekends. They got wi-fi there? If so I can just take my laptop and remote into work!
I know my brother-in-law would go too. Damn, damn, damn work. :P
-
I'm 90% sure I will be there. And Todd is right, I will be wearing either a JETS hat, or sweatshirt.
The beautiful thing is even if the auction sucks, PATZ is right next door with unlimited pinball. But be careful, that is what got me started in the pinball collecting frenzy.

I'm looking for a sanyo chassis (20EZV). If you have one available, please contact me and we can work a deal at the auction.
Thanks.

I'm also pretty sure I'll be there. I'm not looking to buy anything myself since I've got a Q*Bert and X-Men that need work. If there's some good deals, I may jump on one.
-

Just thought I'd be the first to post of those that went. I met up with DarkKobold (Kyle) and was there for about 3 hrs. I had to leave early but I was the guy who got the non-working Neo Geo 4 slot. I know Kyle was taking note of the prices and I sure hope he got that Tron. :) They still had over 2 rows of vids left when I had to leave. Some cool stuff overall.
-
well how was it/ I had to miss out at the last sec. Had to deal with new house pending ;)
Things goin pretty cheap? how bout that neogeo. theres a place down the street with neogeo games for 10 bux each.
neo turf master, shock troopers, cyber lip and a bunch of other good titles.

kinda bummed, i missed it. any details?

I was there and the line for registration was very long. The place was packed. When I left at 2:30, they still hadn't started the auction. I picked up a pin from the PATZ and couldn't wait to get it home and tear it apart to fix it. So I didn't even register or stick around for the auction.

230 and stilll not started!! omg.. they need to lay the law down. anyways superauctions has always been a little shady but ehh they need bidders and or set up the reg table elsewhere so they can start the auction on time.I think im usually home around 4 , or at least last I went.I need a hand with my pin. I am in Northville soon to be in Plymouth Twp. Wanna lend a hand.I moved it and it goes straight to game over noe once you try to start a game..
thx

Ha, they didn't actually start giving bidder numbers until about 12:50. So, the line was moving slowly. I'd say the auction didn't start till past 3, and the first video game was sold at 4. The whole auction went till 8:30. I took prices of the first 2 rows of videos, too many in death row to bother. Really good deals if you waited it out.
Funny story, there was some reeeeaaaaalllll junk outside. One think looked like it was useless even as firewood. So, there is a kiddie helicopter ride. Tried to sell it for a dollar, no bids. So he combined it with a championship sprint, 3 player, complete, but in pieces. 1 dollar. Some guy swats at a fly, and they try and push the stuff off on him. He sells, JR (auctioneer), hell no. They musta been buddies. Finally, a dead cruisin USA was added. Sold for the sum total of a dollar. They couldn't give the ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- away.
Oh yeah, and I now own a fully working Tron!
-
I forgot, I took prices, I'll type them up later.
-
ok, whos going back May 25 is it? I should be moved into mah house then and if I see something cheap its mine.
I love cheap stuff. I bought a pacman converted to atari shuuz werkin for 25 and a tv hocky for 50c. 1st things I ever got. then it made me famouse with everyone as the kid that took um home in the trunk of his car ;) The head guy (jr?) actually helped me pic that thing up (pacman) and put it in my trunk.
-
Congrats on that Tron, Kyle! I want to play! ;D I figured you'd have a good chance since that was one of the last things auctioned off. How much did you get it for?
-
next is june 25th
-
That must have been DarkKobold in front of me in line--I heard him talking about wanting the Tron machine as the registration line progressed past it. ;D
Does anyone know what the foosball table went for?
-
I would have went had I know ahead of time. When is the next one?

I was in the Eric Metcalf jersey and took home one of the pieces of firewood out back for a buck ;D
-
Was that the one with the huge ol' chuck, but had the 25" monitor and 2 coindoors? RAYSTORM or something lame like that? It was actually a steal for the parts. Anyway, if that was you, then we actually talked.
-
I couldn't make it either, but I'll probably stop by the next one. I don't need anymore cabinets right now, but I sure could use a neon sign that reads "Game Room" or something to that effect. :)
-
haha, yep that was me. I thought I recognized you as the guy who ended up with the Tron. Congrats!
I knew that the chunk missing out of the front panel would scare off everybody, but I saw plenty of "potential". A nice big cab with a 25 inch monitor and 2 coin doors. Still haven't gotten any action from the monitor, but hey for $1 it's worth a shot.....
-
Hehe, that $1 cab looks just like a 4-player Captain America. Well, one that's been coverted anyway. Not a bad find at all. Good luck with the monitor. :)
