Couple questions:
Are there any reasonable replacements for the Adaptoid and do any support rumble functions?
If I decide to use a usb gamepad for n64 emu, what is "the best"/your favorite usb gamepad for this?
Are there any games that require every single button the the n64 gamepad?

I got an e-mail from ZTNet Store yesterday saying the Adaptoid is back in stock.
This comes two days after I bought two on e-bay for more than $100 each.
Imagine how thrilled I am. And yet, here I am sharing the information with you. What a nice guy. ::)

Not nearly enough buttons on an x-box pad to play some N64 games, though.
Geek Trivia: "dongle" is named for it's inventor: Don Gull.

You would be 1 short, which can be remapped to either of the analog pushbuttons.. or the back button.. ect ect..

Okay, you got me: I was forgetting the existance of the Black and White buttons. Also, honestly, I forgot it has a d-pad.
Since I built my cab I haven't played xbox or any console. ;D
I've had GT4 for about a month now and it's still in the wrapper.

Thanks for all the replies. And for N64 games, the left trigger is almost never used in a game. In fact, there are none that I remember using it.

I use an Xbox controller for N64, it works quite well. I tried using a gamecube controller (since the button layout is closer) and couldn't get it to work right! The analog stick didn't have enough range towards the front (very odd).
For the xbox controller, I suggest A for A, X for B, Y for Z and the right analog stick for the C-buttons (as mentioned).

Wow, I got my adaptoids hooked in then realized I can use my CP controls for players 3 and 4. Obviously won't work for games that need analog like Goldeneye but I can have 4-player Mario Kart with ease! Cool!
