I am in the market for a decent Laser Disc Player. I know that quite a few arcade builders know something about LD, since it is used in Dragon Lair and such.
I am trying to find one that plays analog 5.1 Ch, has component video out, and is a good quality player.
I found this, and I think it is what is best for my needs:

As for why I need antique technology, let us just say a "certain director" decided to "mess" with my "holy trilogy." Laser Disc is the only way to watch the movies the way they are suppose to be :'(

lol.
I'm the same way. A buddy of mine is going to rip them (once I get a LD player as well) and burn them to DVD for me. =)
I agree 200%, btw.

Not many laserdiscs are in 5.1, it had barely been developed by then.
I'd suggest a Pioneer Laseractive. I have one, great player and plays Genesis carts/CDs, TG hucards/CDs, PC Engine hucards/CDs, and Megadrive carts/CDs.

Yeah, I have DVD's created off the Laserdiscs of the "holy trinity" and they are in Dolby Stereo...
