Has anyone been able to connect a controller (or had any success) at getting the Leland games like the Quarterback series or any of the baseball games that use that analog controller to work? I am dying to play John Elways team quarterback. My best friend has the machine, and wants to make a Mame cabinet out of it (because of the 25" monitor, but until he knows for sure he will be able to play Elway, he is reluctant.

just a thought here. Anyone ever try hacking those old tandy(radio shack) trs-80 joysticks??? I dont know what the guts inside were like, but they moved very similar to the leland style sticks, and they had slider type controls on the side for "tension" of the stick.

There is a place on the web that sells the Leland replacements for $10 somewhere, but I forget where it was. I dont see why they wouldnt work.
I am dying to crank some shots in Home Run Derby again!!

I'm looking into this; I just got a baseball cp with those snap joysticks from ebay and am going to test sometime these holidays.
Primary guess: they should work. I've tried playing the games in mame with a normal analog joystick; the joystick has to go all the way to the top, not the center. Since the snap joysticks are "springed" to do this already, I am hoping all that needs to be done is replace the POTs and calibrate to windows.
I think you can get the replacement snap joysticks from http://www.videoconnect.com/content/joys.htm if they are still in stock, but you should call and make sure.
