Title: window popping up in mamewah
Post by: tm on April 09, 2005, 10:18:19 pm
I have downloaded & installed mamewah and everything appears to be well however, when loading certian games, a black window appears - with the cursor flashing, then after that i can see the roms loading. Following that the games play as normal. Can someone please advise on how I can make the window not come up. I thought mamewah hides the windows enviroment.

Go to the emulator INI file for MAMEWah (in the mamewah/INI folder) and check your settings there.

You should see a setting that says show_dos_box. Mine is set to "auto" and I only see the DOS box if the ROMset is bad or missing. So it should look like this:

show_dos_box                              auto

Good luck!

Since you don't say whether your talking about Mame or not, beware that {autodosbox} is ONLY for MAME and NO other emulators.

I also use visualboyadvance SDL. Check out my ini file on the downloads page of my website at http://home.comcast.net/~cpviewer

Enjoy,

worked it out thanks. I changed auto to 'no_dos_box'.
