Title: ps2 with non working disc drive
Post by: spocktwin on April 08, 2005, 09:31:59 pm
Is anyone interested in a Ps2 that powers up ok but gives a disc read error.  From what I am reading is not an adjustment thing but the drive needs replaced.  My children (9 and 5) were not willing to wait for me to tinker so I bought a new unit.  I of course have the controllers and all other items.  Looking for some kind of trade...any interest or should I just toss the thing?

Gentleman, I want to thank all who posted here or pm'd me I am going to try to use the information given me and try to fix it.  And this is no bull, I have a lady working for me that is raising her grandson (parents killed in auto accident with a drunk driver) and she really can't afford one for the young man.....if it works he gets it...thanks, much better then tossing it.  I will let you all know if this works.
