Is anyone interested in a Ps2 that powers up ok but gives a disc read error. From what I am reading is not an adjustment thing but the drive needs replaced. My children (9 and 5) were not willing to wait for me to tinker so I bought a new unit. I of course have the controllers and all other items. Looking for some kind of trade...any interest or should I just toss the thing?

dont toss it, Ill at least pay for shipping. That is if you are just going to throw it out.

I will check what version and post back.....I am working right now (yeah it sucks but covering for a production manager who's mother passed away) and the unit is obviously at home.

I will let you all know if this works.
