I want to get some square illuminated pushbuttons from Happs to act as the administration buttons. I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to figure out how to light them but, even if I can't, I want to use them to differentiate between actual game buttons and the pause/escape/menu/etc. buttons.
How are these types of buttons wired up? From what I see on the Happs website, it looks like they use standard microswitches. Can these be used without the bulb in place? Anything to give the numerous buttons some visual interest without simply relying on a different color would be nice.

Yeps, standard microswithes.
To light just wire to a 12v source with enough amps..there are two terminal on the light...one for + and one for -.
Replace bulbs with superbright leds to lower the amps needed.
Print off text or graphics on some transparent paper like would be used on an overhead projector, cut it out and assemble it in the button.

I'll prolly be using those too, but i can't seem to find one that i really like on their site... The cheaper kind is more aimed towards poker so they don't have exactly the prints i want...
