Title: arcadeos constant freq. output???
Post by: roboto on November 18, 2002, 07:56:48 pm
I have arcadeos loaded w/ my wells gardner 25" arcade monitor.  When I start it up everything is fine.  Then I pick a game and the screen goes fuzzy and I hear a humming sound while the game loads(like it lost the frequency).  The game does load, but the monitor can't readjust itself to the correct frequency.  As a result, I have to turn the monitor off when the game is loading.  After the game loads, I just flip it back on and everything is fine.  I also have to do this when exiting the game back to arcadeos.  Is the output of arcadeos constant between the main screen and the loaded game screen?  How can I move from games to arcadeos and vice versa w/o having to constantly turn off and turn on my monitor???
I know this forum is for software, but I'm not sure if this is a software or hardware problem!!!
Thanks,
LIAM

What kind of video card do you have?  This may be the problem.  For DOS and a fixed frequency arcade monitor, the best card out there is the:

TRIDENT T64 BLADE 32MB  (PCI or AGP version)
This is available for about $25-30

Are you running windows or pure DOS????
