Title: How to tell what model a monitor is

Hi,
I have several games that are having monitor problems and I am having a tough time figuring out what model they are. I'm pretty sure they are wells garners, but what model, I dont know. They have EOM stickers on them but the WG label with the model appears to have fallen off.

Here is what I have been able to tell:

Defender: 19 inch label on tube reads: RCA 19VJTP22 also has a small label reading WG024784 as a serial number on the tbe

Atari Vindicators: 19 inch has Model XM200 april 1984 on the Chasis, Sharp 510YWB22 on the Tube, Serial Number VIN1081 on the back of the chasis.

25 inch Monitor (someone local gave this away free!) Apparently had been in an all Points Bulliten before he took it out. the guy said it was medium resolution. Has Zenith G-A63ADG25X and 04RC0105-005 on the tube, also has WG 355821 as a serial number.

For reference i have a soul edge/previously a simpsons with the following similar monitor that has Zenith G-A63ADG25x and 04RC0105-009 on the tube (Note the very similar number to the other 25 inch.) This one fortunately has the WG sticker with the actual monitor model number of 25K7191.

Are there any sources out there to help dicipher the real manufacturer from companies like Zenith, Sharp and RCA. I'd like to order capkits for these guys.

I was once in your boat-didn't know what monitor I had, or what to do with it to make it work!!!  There's a great deal of information as well as parts that you thought you'd never find on Bob Roberts' page.  This man knows it all.  Just scroll down until you see Bob's bulletin board and a bunch tutorials under that.  I think you might find the 'singing monitor' info useful.  See "what's my monitor?" for names and pictures of monitors so you can identify yours.  Good luck!!

Email me pictures of your monitors viewed from the rear and I can identify. BTW, all monitors look the same from the front.

Your Atari Vindicators is an XM-2001 made by Sharp.

Defender sounds like a Wells-Gardner 4600 series.

I have the schematics to the 25K7191 and it's a standard CGA resolution.

You can also try to ID it yourself from the images on Bob Robert's Monitor ID page.  (See http://www.dameon.net/BBBB/monitor.html (http://www.dameon.net/BBBB/monitor.html), there's also a link on his main page http://www.therealbobroberts.com (http://www.therealbobroberts.com)).

I have a cabinet that was once a Defender cabinet, and the monitor is a WG 4600 series, so I concur with Ken on that one.
