Title: How to configure Sound Blaster 16 ISA
Post by: liche on November 18, 2002, 11:25:02 am
How do you configure a Sound Blaster 16 ISA card in DOS???

I am assuming the autoexec.bat and config.sys files would be slightly different than when using a PCI SB16 card.

Thanks

The Sound Blaster drivers exe should take care of all the configuration for you.  Here's a link to the drivers for your card.

Well, you really don't have to. Most games/software required you to config each game/program for it (in dos).. However anything recent can auto detect it (recent being anything in the last like decade :).. You CAN however add a like like set blaster=your settings to your autoexec.cfg (or was it config.sys?? I can't recall now) to make the auto detection process safer.
