I'm getting ready to mount my I-Pac inside my control panel but I'm kinda afraid to just screw it in there...any advise? Thanks...

you could use some PCB mounting feet.
Or cut up the shaft of a bic pen and put a screw throught the Ipac and then the pen so it's raised slightly

I used those little hexagonal brass screws that sit between motherboards and the metal casing of my PC.

Buy a set of these PCB standoffs from a electronics store.

I used the $3 PCB mounting feet that I bought from ultimarc at the same time that I bought my I-Pac.

I usually use duct tape, bondo, superglue, or cabbage!
Actually I usually use PCB feet if I can find any, but I have also just screwed them down in the past with no ill effects.
I actually had one hanging loose in a cabinet for a year and a half with no problems. That was back before I was hyperactive on these forums, my wiring got a whole lot better after I started seeing everyone ELSE's ultraclean wiring jobs.

I will throw in a second for the brass hex computer standoffs. Just mark holes, drill so the hole is undersize, screw the standoff into the wood with a nut driver, and mount your PCB like a motherboard. Works great! Besides, what self-respecting geek doesn't have at least 1 metric ton of those things laying around ???

I could only see the thing staying in for a short time. I'd add very strong glue for the screw standoffs to make sure they never dislodge from the timber.

I used a bunch of them for my MAME cabinet... you would have to literally hammer on them to dislodge them. You want the drilled hole a tight interferrence fit, so the standoffs cut full threads into the wood.
Just thought of this: Mine are screwed into plywood. I would not recommend this procedure in MDF without using CA glue also. (Crazy glue) Definitely test a few before commiting your PCBs to them.

I wanted spacers to hold my mobo off the inside of my cab, so I went to Home Depot and picked up some nylon nuts (they're an easy way to make sure the spacing is the same and for $0.29 each I don't have to bother cutting anything to size)...
Basically, anything that doesn't conduct electricity very well should work (IE: rubber tubing, plastic tubing, etc)...
Mark the holes, predrill and run the screws through your board and the spacer of your choice...

I used the motherboard standoffs, too, and they have worked great. How is everyone mounting the AKI Boards? No mounting holes on these.

Velcro dude. Velcro.
Leaves no marks, it's pretty much impossible to screw up, and you can remove it instantly.
What's the point of nylon nuts, washers, marking holes, drilling holes etc?
Oh yeah, it costs about 50 cents.

Doesnt velcro cause static electricity? Either way, Im cheap so Im gonna use a cheap pen. You throw them out every day because they dont work....why not put it to good use!

I've used teh bic pen in the past....getting good cuts is another issue though

I too have heard you can steal a cheap bic pen or two, cut them up into 1/2" posts and use them as mounting.
I mean PURCHASE a brand new Bic Pen...

I definitely wouldn't use velcro.. that could cause static electricity and that's just asking for trouble.
I've used the brass hex shaped standoffs in my bartop, and actually, if you make the hole slightly smaller than the standoff, MDF will hold it fine. Once I got them in, I was considering some glue, but those damn things would NOT budge. Glue wouldn't hurt, but if you do it right, it won't be necessary... even with MDF. I mean, its not like the Ipac is going to be dancing around in there.
