Title: swappable joystick handles?

I remember awhile ago some people were talking about making custom joysticks (non-happs?) that had custom switchable handle tops (batt handle, ball handle, etc)?  I tried every keyword I could think of for the search (and made sure it was more than 7 days) and still can't find the thread.  

Anyone remember this?
