Title: Cant bring up menu in MAME anymore

Ok, its been a long time since I've been here.
Tab used to work to bring up a menu in MAME where I could access settings and Enter would act to Enter the function.  I havent played my MAME machine in a while and all the sudden, I push the Tab button and the menu wont come up.  The button mapped to tab still tabs outside of MAME.
Any suggestions?

This happened to me once too.  I deleted the config file to get it back.  There's probably a better way, but it's a quick fix.

Thanks K, sorry, been a long time since I've done any config-ing with mame.....can you give me a play by play?  I deleted MAME and can't remember how to have MAME make a new one.

Well, nevermind.  Deleted it and created new one, but that didn't help.  Any other suggestions on how to get it back?

Maybe a silly question, but does your TAB key work outside of MAME?

Also, try running mame with the "-norc" flag to see if it responds.  This will stop it reading any config files and run from defaults.

Yes, Tab works outside of MAME.  Also, it worked when I played my Nintendo Emu withing Mamewah, when I switch back to MAME Emu, nothing.

Is there a place in MAME.ini or somewhere that shows where to use those controls?
It's weird that it works in my Nintendo Emu and not the MAME all the suddon.

Delete 'default.cfg' from the cfg folder.
