As of now I am running NesterJ (for NES) and a Genesis Emulator with Mamewah. Neither are command line based but more like mame32 style. Do these types work with mamewah on a decently easy level or should I stick with commandline versions of these emulators?
Reason I am asking is that both seem to work with Mamewah, but once I upload a game (rom) I cannot go back to mamewah without my PC crashing.
Any help would be great. Thanks.

Also, if you download a command line emulator, like "mamepp.exe", how do you run this program? I've tried using dos and just telling it to run mamepp.exe but it doesn't work?

You've got a lot of reading (FAQs, docs) and searching to do.
Short answer is you're running redundant software. If you want to run Mame32 you don't need Mamewah and vice-versa. If you DO want to use Mamewah, switch to compatible emulators (in your examples FCEU, Fusion and Mame).
Check out jcrouse's page for Mamewah .ini files.

What's this 'jcrouse' page?

It is not recommended .
But I do have Mame 32 with mamewha.
I have a 2.6 gig CPU and 512 meg memory so the games I play work fine.
I have not tried other emulators yet with it.
also atomic work with Mame32.
also not recommended. but again works for me.
I have not tried it on my cabs yet. older PCs so I doubt they can do it.

I am running command line mame now with mamewah and it seems to be a step in the right direction. I still have the games listed as their file names instead of actual names (IE games like Super Street Fighter is just 'SSF' and Ikari Warriors II is just 'ikari2') but hopefully I can find a way to fix that soon.
Also, I cannot get my layouts to work. I want screenshots for my games but as of now it's just blank. Do I need to download them from somewhere else? or do they just use the rom info to generate screen shots?

the roms do not have screen shots by them selfs
you need to put snap shots in the snap shot folder

Do I create the snap shots? or is there a site I can get them from?

http://www.emu-france.com/ for all your screenshots etc. They will need to be unzipped for Mamewah to see them.
