Title: KDS 21" screen too small
Post by: JackTucky on April 04, 2005, 05:27:06 pm
This monitor was working for me about 6 months.  It's one of the used ones from isellsurplus.com

I had to get it out of the cabinet to use the "secret"  button to turn it back on.

Now the dreamcast picture on it is too small.  About 75% of the screen, on the lower right.

I tried the other buttons to adjust, but there is just brightness and contrast, and degauss.

any other ideas?

There should be an on screen menu on those KDS that allow you to control all geometric issues including width, height, position, rotation.

There should be 4 buttons on the left side of the frame exposed by cleverly placed holes on the shroud surrounding the back end of the monitor.  When used normally they likely just change contrast/brightness. But one of them should activate the on screen menu and you then use the others to cursor through it and select and change stuff.

Search the site for the KDS stuff, I know I've seen people post pictures of them from the side. (I had one back from the original eBay sales 2 1/2 years ago so I know they're there.. I returned the monitor however due to scrapes on the screen and burn in issues.

I pressed all 4 buttons, but couldn't get one to move through the menu except for brightness and contrast.

I'll search the sites.  Thanks
