Attention 2 player cab users.
This weekend my son was playing the Simpsons on my PC, no cab yet...He was only able to start and use Marge.
I then went in and set the controls for Bart as player one.
He jumped back into the game and with extra credits, he started the game controlling both Marge and Bart!
I was funny at first watching them both doing the same moves.
Eventually one of them gets involved with one of the enenies and the other one is on there own.
It was a little easier getting through some of the levels.
When I get my cab built I am going to make team 2 Homer and Lisa. Should be alot of fun.
It's kind of a hack, but try it out you may like it.
Should also work for other four person games.

There is a 2 Player version of The Simpsons where you can select your characters...

I will have to check that out, know the filename?
Still fun to double team, try it out!

Most dedicated 3P and 4P games also had a 2P version in production at some stage.
3P and 4P cabs mean custom frame builds and coinslots per-player, which are expensive. Many game writers also did a 2P "selectable" version of their software so arcade owners could easly chuck their board in a JAMMA cab and not have to shell out thousands for a custom cab that might not be popular.
