i purchased a new jungle hunt which i then of course converted to elevator action which still is working fine. questions: wasn't jungle king the same game but minor changes made because of infringement rights (or do i have that backward) - would the game be worth more if i converted it back if i found the parts at the right price - as i remember other than graphics the conversion was just a few chips and add a control button(this was a long time ago so please feel free to straighten me out - you guys usually do anyway) thanks for any advise you can provide.

King came first, Then the Tarzan people complained, then they changed it to Hunt.
AFAIK

There is no real value difference between them. I like "King" better, but only because of the Tarzan yell.

And good luck finding parts. Some stuff (hardware wise) would be pretty easy, but try finding a CPO.

I'm with Paige here. I bid a Jungle King up to $85 at the KC auction. It was "fair" shape, and worked intermitently. It sold for $95. I wanted one because it was a favorite quarter muncher in my youth, and I too prefer the Tarzan(tm) yell. Neither is going to be worth big $$. To the *right* collector the King might be worth a bit more.

thanks for all the input but one last question doe s any one remember how or what it took to convert?

I'd bet cash that it's nothing more than a ROM swap.

Yes, Jungle Hunt and King romswap to each other (and I THINK they also Romswap to Jungle Boy and Pirate Pete as well).
