Title: Mamewah customize help?
Post by: magic0200 on April 02, 2005, 06:31:53 pm
Hey guys,

I have been looking for a tutorial but I have not found anything and wondered if you guys knew of one. I know the new Mamewah can support custom data information (IE custom categories that can come up on it's software). I had an idea where for Console games, I could make a DAT file for each game that would look like the following:

(let me add that buttons 1 - 10 will have their own position on the MAMEWAH screen, so each button will need it's own dat file)

1- fire
2- jump
3- run
4 - Select
5 - Start
ETC......

By creating this, when you highlight the game in mamewah and the cover art shows up, I thought it would be great for the Button Controls to come up as well.

The thing is I have 10 possible buttons which obviously won't be needed for old machines, but PSX will use all of them.

I was wondering if anyone has a Tutorial on how to program that information?

Thanks so much! : )
