Hi guys I was wondering if someone could help me identifiy a part from a oscar model 2 spinner.
The part I am after is the little washer which is holding the bronze bearing in place, the bronze bearing is where the shaft gose and its to keep the shaft straight.
To me there look like clip on washers but until I know the correct name I can't ask for them in hardware shops.
Also if someone know what there are called can you but them in the UK.
Thanks

Pictures would help if you've got 'em. :)
This is a complete guess (as I don't own an OSCAR 2 spinner), but when you say it looks like a "clip on washer", it might be what's usually called a "c-clip".
If you would, go to http://www.happcontrols.com/joysticks/competition_joy_e.htm and look at part number 43-0019-00 toward the bottom-left of the picture. Does it look kind of like that?

Every time I take a pic of the thing it comes out blurry, damn cheap camera.
Anyhow the clip on the joystick is not the one. The one I am after looks like a thin washer but the outsides are turned upwards and the inside has small slits going around it.
I have seen them before and to me there look like a washer which clips to the object.
I try to get a better pic of this thing to show you.
Ok just looked at another post on the board and someone mentioned a washer which looks like a spikey flower and thats what I am after.
I now think there are called toothed washers but does anyone know where I can get some in the UK.
Thanks

Lock washer?
Does it look like the internal tooth version here?

I emailed you some info on this. That part goes by different names, depending on who you ask, but it is most commonly called a push retainer, or push nut, or stud nut.
