Post by: brandon on April 01, 2005, 08:05:42 pm
I was search around on Ebay and found these really cool adapters that adapt playstation gamepads to work with any other console or PC USB http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=20385&item=8181888078&rd=1

those look pretty cool.. I like the fact that they do N64 which would be great for emulators like project64.  I really wish I could find the ones in the link I posted.  I check Lik-Sang and they dont have them.  Anybody else know of any Hong Kong distributors that may have these?

I got one of the ps2/N64 adapters from that seller and they arrived quickly and work great. I use it for Project64 without any problems. Between that adapter, a Super Smartjoy for SNES and 2 of Randy's GP-49's I'm out of USB ports now :( But I can play all the games using their original controllers :)

Have you already emailed him and asked? He might do it although shipping would probably be higher.

I checked through some of his feedback and everyone I saw was from the UK.  apparently he is located in Hong Kong since his email is at yahoo.com.hk  but I did email him and I got this auto reply:

Thank you for your email!
I will respond to your email shortly.
I have 100's of emails a day so it may take 12-24 hours.
Best regards,
Tam

I guess maybe he only ships to UK because of customs or something like that.. maybe the USA is a pain in the butt.. oh well, we shall see if/when I get a reply.

The guy southpaw posted is a BYOAC member- Sylentwulf, I think it is.  I probably spelled that wrong.

that's cool.. maybe I'll PM him and see if he can get me one of the universal type like I want.  I did find a similar one for sale here, minus the Xbox memory card slots (which I dont care about anyways) http://ps2modchip.com/search.php?page=neo4r2 but I have a hard time trusting any random company that shows up on a google search.  especially one overseas.  I'm not that confortable giving out my credit card info as it is...

I'd e-mail him instead- I PM'd him about those very adapters and never heard back.  He doesn't post all that often.
