Hey guys.
I haven't found much in the way of links for an xbox in an arcade machine, at least on the software side. As a note, I have many of the emulators and such set up, but it looks like a hodge-podge mess. I'd like to have it more simple and intuitive rather than each emulator looking completely different.
Are there any good resources on where to look at previous projects (with details)?
TIA

BTW. Can you point me to a good softmode tutorial? I have an XBOX just collecting dust.

Yes, xbox-scene is the place to go. I found that the ltools mod (via a mech assualt save game exploit) works very well. It does everything for you, and allows you to uninstall itself and return to a normal xbox.
There is also "Softmod.Installer.Deluxe.v2.0.Xbox-Hq" which is what I actually used to completely mod things. It's a bit more complex in that you have to tell it each step of the way, but I liked having a bit more control of things.
Oh, and the platinum hits version of mechassault doesn't work, you need the original. All that's explained on xbox-scene though.
Thanks for the link. Good luck modding your xbox. =)
Anyone else actually use an xbox in their cab?

I think (according to the version guide) I have a week 42 year 3 Xbox. But the guide has not listing for this. I assume it is a v1.4
@$#% Microsoft.

You can see what bios you are running if you go into the "about this xbox" (or whatever it's called) info in your dashboard settings. It will have a bunch of copyright stuff, but if you wait, it will scroll down and tell you what BIOS and such you're using.
ltools will work (iirc) on any box.
