Title: zsnesw dropping controllers?
Post by: magic0200 on March 31, 2005, 12:34:53 pm
Hey guys,

I have tried this with multiple controllers and still can't figure out what the issue is, but I have Zsnes with the hacked ESC and trying to get my software in order to put in my arcade. The problem is that Zsnes regardless of what controllers I use, drops the buttons and for instance a A or B won't work, but the rest will.

Have you guys come across this? I am totally stumped here and the controllers were working PERFECT and then all of a sudden they just glitch. I have not changed any settings and I plan on using 4 of the same type of controller.

Let me just clarify that I've also tried to just recalibrate (up down left right etc...) in snes and the #'s come up the same and yet the error exists.

Thank you so much for your time!

I also tried with hacked SNES controllers, and computer controllers and I get the same problem. Could it be the sofware, XP, or motherboard ??

After searchin a couple of games, I found that this was limited to actual roms and not the software. Super Mario Kart being the worst.

Has anyone else run across this?

Ok I see you need some help testing this one.

I did have the same problem last time I was using ZSNES, from memory it was windows version 1.36 BUT that was maybe six months or more ago.

Since you have it handy you should post your version so we can help better, also try updating as I believe there is a newer version now, possibly 1.42. Anyhow check it out in the meantime.

I had the issue using a psone dualshock and USB converter and figured that was most likely the cause. Though IIRC Super Mario Kart was one of the worst offenders and the USB adapter worked fine elsewhere.

Maybe there is/was a known bug.

I will test it again for you in a day or so when I'm at home and let you know results, until then consider hunting down a console emu forum for better replies.
