Do not click this link unless you have a few hours to kill. This game is fun and addicting. Dig Dug-inspired gameplay.

I will save this for the weekend ;D
-
It's actually a fun game.
I played it yesterday for 30 mins, I was past the 1000ft mark and then I got stuck on the side of the board. So I had to quit.
-
Just wait till you get past 6000....that's when things start getting wierd. ;)

I am at about -1,500 feet down. I have dug 2 holes. (one of them is really good and is a straight line to the surface and the other I stop using about 5 "!"s ago. Really addicting

Brilliant!

What equipment are you using?
-
Is there anyway I can save this game locally on my drive?
-
do a search for motherloadx.swf on your local drive while playing and save it to another location
-
I've maxed out all of the equipment. I've got the $500,000 version of everything. Trust me, that's not too difficult to do once you're mining in the 3,000-5,000 ft. depth. It's a shame cos it's not nearly as fun once everything's been purchased. They also sell the game on CD for $15, btw. I wonder if it would run full-screen then.
I wish they'd make a Pocket PC version. That'd be badass. They'd probably have to program it from scratch, though. That game seems to have similar resource requirements to games like Far-Cry. Check out your Processor Performance in the Task Manager while you play. I've got an Athlon 64 3200 with 512 MB of RAM at work and it pegs a consistent 80% usage when the game's running.
-
Me too. AthlonXP 2700+ w/512MB RAM running Firefox. ~64MB usage by FF with it running too.
-
Ok...sooo after playing for way too long I have maxed out everything. I went bellow the 5,000 limit and collected all these expensive minerals...I'm hoping this isnt the end of them game!!!
-
I had purchased all of the $20,000 and $50,000 equipment, I had purchased 20xRefills and 10Xhull repair kits. And I was ready to make my run to the 6000+ feet level.
So I was around 45mins in to the journey as collecting a few high value items along the way... I was at 5,600 feet and I thought to myself, I'm almost there... Then BOOM.. I exploded. I must have hit a gas pocket or something, as I had a full tank of gas and full hull strength. What a piss off...
-
Heh....I did that too. Make sure you save your game whenever you go up top for fuel. With the $500,000 shield and the $500,000 radiator (I'm not really sure if the radiator affects gas pockets or just the lava that you can see) I can withstand two of those undetectable gas explosions without dying. Now that I've got unlimited funds I just load up on Nanobots so I don't have to go topside for repairs whenever I hit them.
Keep going down. Past 6,000 see some strange stuff and you start getting some worthwhile messages. I haven't messed around much below 6,000, though, so I'm not sure how much more there is to the game.
-
Go back up :o....thats wat a ton of gas injections is for. Going up top is for saving the game!!!!
-
I only go up top to save the game :)

I saved my game, but it doesn't save the 5000+ tunnel you built when you save. It only saves your score, money and stuff purchased.
-
yeah...but once you've got the fastest drill and a huge fuel tank you can drill straight to 5000 easy on a single tank. Just buy tons of dynamite so you can make one continuous, straight-down tunnel. I make it all the way on the left side so I'm never confused of where my "way out" is, though this isn't an issue once you have the money to protect yourself against the various dangers of the deep :P

Thats because the way out is all the way on the right...FYI minerals dont explode and neither do empty spaces...blow regular dirt up to avoid the almost constant gas explosions.
EDIT: I beat the game.

Thats what the "P" button on your keyboard is for.

I remember these guys for stick rpg. They're making stick rpg 2 and this game was on the to-do list for a while, got a ton of people excited...this is gonna be a good company i can feel it. They put alot of detail and work into their games.
-
I would like this game a lot more if there weren't any stupid random earthquakes. It's incredibly annoying to have my 3000ft. tunnel destroyed almost every time I come up to the surface.

You can't play the game locally. You need to be online in order for it to run. As I founf the file opened it up and 5 sec later it said. THIS WAS LEECHED FROM... and then quit.
