Hello,
I'm getting a PSP and I love racing games. What is the best racing game for the PSP until Gran Turismo comes out for it? I like realism as opposed to arcadey driving games.
Need for speed or Ridge Racer?
Why?

Both are "arcady" driving games..
and NFSu sucks..

I think the best racing games out now for the PSP are Wipeout pure and Ridge Racer (I have both)

I am a Wipeout junkie from way back. Wipeout has even shaped my tastes in music.
I don't have Wipeout for the PSP yet, but I have the first one for the PSX (in the original long cardboard box!), XL, and III. I suppose there was a II. First time I saw it I was totally blown away. I wouldn't compare it to other racing/driving games at all. Very unique.
Do you like the music in Lumines? That style (gameplay, graphics, and music) all remind me more of Wipeout than any other game.
Anyone know if Puyo Puyo Fever will be released in the U.S. or do I have to go to Lik-Sang for the import?

Haven't seen Lumines yet other than reviews. I may check it out.
The feel of the PSP Wipeout pure is a back to roots kind of thing. Very much like 3. It really makes up for the sub-par Wipeout Fusion on PS2.
I do miss the Designers Republic art though. Curly says Go!

Ridge Racer is a better looking, playing game. NFSU Rivals is a "street racer" (very popular these days) with real cars and you can customize/upgrade your car.
I've played both, and vastly prefer Ridge Racer.
