Title: Wells Garner 25 inch monitor info needed
Post by: JPACMAN on November 13, 2002, 01:30:54 pm
Hi All,
I have a 25 inch monitor in my cabinet from Wells Garner Model 25K7191. I'm setting it up with the fragle CD and need to know what Frequecy it supports. Is there any reference site for info on these. I did not see any details on the monitor or controller board. I did find the following info on the montior.
120V, 60 Hz, 100 watts Max.

My 2nd question revloves around a problem i am having with the monitor. There seems to be some bleed over of red on the edges of the screen. I tried adjusting with the pots on th monitor board but didnt have much luck. any ideas on the cuase and fix for something like this? Would a cap kit do it?

Thanks
David

the redness is there maybe because the contrast is too high.Try lowering contrast and brightness.Thats all I can come up with :).

The 13 year old monitor in a Mame cabinet I just built for a customer had that EXACT same problem.  It also had dim vertical striping apparent across the screen as well.  My head tech told me that it was due to bad caps, so I'd suggest you'd go that route.  He hasn't fixed that monitor yet, so I can't guarantee it'll work... but the tech knows his stuff.

Brightness and contrast first. If that doesn't help then you need to adjust red color controls on the neck board.
