3. 4 and 8 way joysticks
4. analog joystick
5. topfire joysticks
6. Push/pull spinner
7. positional guns
8. happs light guns.

How about y'all

I couldn't even begin to make a list. It would probably have over 100 DIFFERENT items if I did. Heck, I probably have 50 or 60 different kinds of joysticks, 5 or 6 kinds of trackballs, 20 or 30 types of buttons, 5 different kinds of spinners, 3 kinds of pedals, I am down to only one kind of steering wheel though (but I have two of those), 2 kinds of shifters, etc, etc, etc.
No guns or yokes of any kind though, sold my last yoke (Roadblasters type) for $20 to a BYOAC member who came over last week to buy something else.
-
I should be more specific. How many functionally different types of controls do you have? ie... trackball, 360 wheel, etc... I guess generically speaking.
-
Glad you clarified that or I'd be getting sore fingers from typing:-
Trackball
Spinner
4 Way joystick
8 Way joystick
Analog joystick
CH Products flight yoke
Steering wheel + pedals
Light Gun
Whie not in Paiges league i reckon i must have 40+ controllers of one variety or another lying around the house. I actually have to hide them from my wife otherwise i think she would flip.

lol... yeah it's gotten so bad that the UPS guy knows me and my hobbies on a personal basis. Luckily we have a deal where we meet at my garage at the time he shows up so it keeps the flood of ups packages low key.

Considering I haven't actually built my MAME setup yet, I'm embarrased to tell you how much stuff is in that closet. If I ebay'd it all, I could probably buy a Spincade.
-
So, when are you guys going to break down and share some of that stuff with the less fortunate? Meaning less stuff and a less understanding wife!
But I do have PayPal!

Too much to even think about listing.
Alot of it is in boxes awaiting my next project.
Then there's the "haven't got around to mounting it yet" pile.
Then there's the "testing" pile.
That's the ones that I've mounted in test modules, to play with, but haven't gotten around to final mounts yet.
I've got a 2 drawer filing cabinet that holds "most" of my currently mounted modules.
Then there's the dedicated cabs (Vindicators and Radical Radial...ATM) that are out in my garage because I haven't been able to transfer the huge pile of boxes in my den out there yet, to make room for them in the house.

Jody, did you see a large difference functionally between the microswitch based brake pedal and the post brake pedal?

It isn't hooked up yet, but it is a Happs. Could get parts and convert it fully one way or the other. In games where the brake is on or off it won't matter. In games with an analog brake it will. If I find myself needing analog, plan to add the parts but leave the switch for games that just need on / off. Since I've got a few gas / brake pedals and plan to build multiple cabs, may just put the proper games on each and won't be an issue.
-
I ask because I have pot based brake/gas pedals and figured I could just go with this setup and compensate software wise if the game needed a switch. thanks for the quick answer!
-
I have 36 or so buttons and one joystick just waiting to get put into my cabinet...once it's done.
The other sticks will be along shortly....

I've never seen ANY difference between them.
Of course, I don't think I've ever USED the brake pedal on anything, so I may not be the best judge.
