I have not tried with Mame but I have a PSX to USB Adapter that I use with my PSX Wheel and it works with PC Games that use Steering, like those Daytona type games.

unfortunately you'll need over a 3Ghz machine to run at 100%

Snaaake here is a little snippet from the MAME WIP page.

2002-10-28: Nicola Salmoria added preliminary sound emulation to Flower, but it's not perfect and it crashes sometimes. Nathan Woods changed MAME to pause when the window is dragged or resized. Stephane Humbert fixed the DIP switches in the Armed Formation driver. Bryan McPhail fixed various graphical glitches in the Twin16 driver, especially in Gradius II / Vulcan Venture. Aaron Giles sent in a TMS32031 CPU core and Williams V-Unit driver supporting Cruis'n USA and Cruis'n World complete with perfect sound emulation. P4 - 4 GHz or Athlon XP 4000+ recommended.

What D10 said.

Like I've said before, there isn't a fast enough computer out there that can handle .62.  .61, no problem:)

Snaaake, yeah, there isn't a 3Ghz P4 or athlon yet.  That's the point, it will be sometime before you can run EVERYTHINg in mame at full speed.
I hear you can get some of those P4 to 3.3Ghz overclocked though:)

I suspect as mame evolves mroe that this will be the trend, no one will have a good enough computer for mame for several months after the release.

Well, if you say so.  you may get 100% with no sound.  But not being able to run at 100% is really annoying after awhile.

You can get an Pentium4 to do it NP at all.

Haven't you ever seen the website with the guy who had the fastest computer in the world?

he taped a styrophom cup around a heatsink and put liquid nitrigen in it.  Got it to OVER 4ghz....(barely)....  for well over a few minutes!

Yeah, a few minutes:)  I've seen those deep freezing projects.  Yep, very cool (no pun intended), and cheap I bet too!

hey, this is the first version I've compiled myself onto my hard drive, because I saw the tutorial at www.mameworld.net/compile32/ and realized how F*ckin easy it was,  -I686 version of Mame32 check, -No ok/ verifying screens, check, -am definitely going to learn how to modify at least one thing cool in Mame, check.
-I highly suggest takin a look at that sight, the only trouble I had was when I had the src for Mame unzipped, I put the source for Mame32 in the main folder instead of inside src where it belonged, so it showed an error when I tried to compile it.  But a quick fix, and all was well.
-btw, if anyone knows any cool mods that I could do to my source code that would be reasonable, PM me or post to this reply.

I was so pumped about Cruisin' USA/World, but it runs hella slow on my XP 2000+. Aaron is trying to improve the drivers for better speed he says. Guess it will be a while, oh well :(

guess how well it does on my 1ghz athlon...

and man... I remember when I upgraded my 450 -> 1ghz for MK and a few other mame games... Hasn't been a problem until now.

What I'm amazed at.  I can play all the cojag games 100% without sound... and about 80-90 with.  And I haven't even played with the settings yet.  I bet they would be 100% in DOS!  I was execting 3fps in these also.
