Hello,
I've been searching for some information about the Act-Labs S-video out Light Gun.
-
I'm having a really hard time getting my Act Labs TV out gun to calibrate to my 27" TV as well (can't remember the brand - some no name).
I didn't get instructions with my gun, so maybe I just don't know what I'm doing.
I'd like to hear any advice on this as well.
Also, if anyone has a scan of the instructions for the Act Labs TV out gun or a pdf file or something, I'd like to have a copy.
Thanks

I got my act labs gun about a month ago and hooked it up. I also can not get it to work at all. I have a 27 inch toshiba. I am real happy with the tv, but I am having same problems with gun. any help would be great.

I have the act labs gun for S video out and it works great. For one thing, I dont think it works with flat screen tvs, im not positive but pretty sure, also, on the right side of the gun theres a sliding switch, when its moved to the middle, the tv will turn all white, and you need to keep the gun 3 inches away from the screen, and slowly go in the middle left to right, then up and down, it will collaborate the gun to your screen, for terminator 2 and revolution X, there are ingame instructions you need to follow to collaborate them properly, hope i could help, doug.

Thanks for the post 3eye.
I was holding mine way too close to the TV while calibrating. I'll try it again while holding it 3 inches away.

I have one hooked up to a 27" flat screen and it works perfectly (it's also going through a sheet of plexi and the screen is on a slight angle). I think the TV I have is a Samsung (I can't remember though). I've been very impressed with the gun, like everyone else, wished it looked more like an arcade gun, but accuracy has never been a problem.

Some TVs are made and called flat screen, but there is actually a regular tube inside and glass on the front that is flat...would it be possible to get the make and model of your TV?

Ok, I got my wife to check this out at home, it's a Sanyo DS27930 27 in. Direct View Flat Screen Television.

Hmmmm, maybe I'll mess around with the resolution...those TV go for about $259CDN...maybe I can pick one up to build into a cab...better than the 20" I currently have...I still wish it work on my livingroom TV in the meantime though...
Thanks for checking...
