Hi all
-
I have heard only the game pads and dance pads. thats it
I know the hand held steering unit will not work. tried it.
-
ps light guns can definately not be connected to a PC.

I would say anything the the PS1 sees as a gamepad would work. so for example if a fishing controler or steering wheel work on any PS1 game that used a gamepad then I would think that the USB gamepad adaptors would also recognize it that way. its a safe assumption anyway.. but you know what they say about ASSuming.. ;D

I know firsthand that the Logitech PS2 Driving Force/Driving Force Pro USB steering wheels work in Windows XP, although the force feedback does not work, only the return-to-center function. All axes and buttons are recognized.
I would assume that any USB devices other than guns would work in Windows XP. Most gamepad-like devices should work with a PS-> USB adapter.

Thank you very much for your replies.

For what it's worth, I got my US-NTSC Namco neGcon working under PSXEmu and Windows 2000. :D
(Whatever happened to PSXEmu....)

I have the Radio Shack "black and blue" adapter and all gamepads have worked fine. I've not tried my dance pad, but this adapter does seem to work fine with my Interact V3 wheel and Ultra Racer (handheld wheel). Both devices are recognized as the neGcon standard when plugged into the Playstation. I've used them in gameplay, but I was just testing them in a Gamepad testing utility. It's running on a mac, but since it's just testing signals of a USB HID device it actually proves this adapter is outputting the proper signals and not just relying on software to fake it.

try a playstation light gun on a tv-out of mame. you get that working, and you'll have everyone's gratitude.
