I was wondering if anyone knew if these were emulated yet? Are the mame devs pulling a golden tee by already having them emulated but not releasing them because they still make money? Just wondering if anyone knew.
-
They are cpu hogs and won't be able to run in mame for along time even if they are released.
m2 emulated hotd1.
Hotd2 is a Naomi game. i.e. (dreamcast hardware is based off this arcade system or vice versa)
Hotd3 is a CHIHIRO game. i.e. (xbox based arcade hardware)
The pc versions of 1 and 2 are cabinet friendly and available off ebay all the time.
HOTD3 is not cab friendly, as it requires the enter key.
(oddly enough, you can redefine the keys for keyboard mode but not for mouse mode.)

Remember enter is a shifted key w/ any IPAC / MINI PAC.

Yeah, but's its still not as nice as hotd2 where 1 and 2 are player starts by default.
My cab has 2 admin button, unshifted they are esc and p, shifted they are tab and enter.
My buttons are a good bit away from my p1 start (shift key) so it's a pain to hit enter while holding the gun.(requires 2 hands)

you said M2 emulated HOTD 1, did they emulate the pc or arcade version? and what is M2? Where can you get it?
-
I think it's Modeler 2.

I love the HOTD series. Bought an XBox for that one game (2 actually, since HOTD II is unlocked after you beat III).
