Title: How do I use PowerStrip so 640x480 works OK on my ATI HDTV adapter? (w/480i)
Post by: sofakng on March 18, 2005, 08:48:50 pm
I'm using the ATI HDTV adapter with my ATI Radeon 9700 Pro video card.  My TV only supports 480i (not true HDTV, I know, but at least it lets me use the component video cables!)

The resolution I need to use in Windows is 640x432.  If I use 640x480 there is significant (15%) overscan.  If I use 640x432 (custom resolution) it works GREAT.

The problem is that a lot of games I play (Direct-X) require640x480 and simply do not support custom resolutions.

How can I use PowerStrip so that 640x480 doesn't have any overscan?  Can I somehow make 640x480 use 640x432 settings?  Will this work in Direct-X games?

I've tried and tried to get this to work but I can't figure it out...

Can anybody -please- help me?
