Sorry if this was posted before:
After looking for trackballs from Happs and Ultimarc, I see that Ultimarc tends to be cheaper, ALOT cheaper. Since Im already orderring a ton of stuff from Ultimarc, I wanted to know what the differences were with the trackballs, besides the size. Im going to order a minipac, which the trackball can connect directly to, so I figure.....what's the diff!
EDIT: ANYBODY?

like has been said numerous times before, if you'll only use it every once in a while, the ultimarc is a fine canidate, but for heavy users, the industrial quality happs is the way to go.

Whoa, just as I'm typing my reply, I look down and the thread has been edited :) That was surely cool. Thanks though for the information. I think Ill probably go with the Ultimarc one and maybe buy a replacement ball -- I guess I should search ebay first :)

Retroblast is doing a trackball review soon. So I guess it'll be up in a few weeks.

Just to point out the physical differences between our trackball and Happ:
Ours has a slightly heavier solid ball
The metal shafts on ours have plastic sleeves which act against the ball. The idea behind this is to avoid the metal to plastic contact of a bare shaft. The Happ has the same shafts, bearings, etc but does not have the plastic sleeves.
I think it's fair to say that the bearings on ours are initially sometimes rather sluggish and require bedding-in and maybe even some WD40, whereas the Happ seems to be free out of the box. I suspect they use bearings with a thinner lubricant.
