Here are my questions about the Omni-Stick at www.groovygamegear.com (http://www.groovygamegear.com)
First, how does this play in 4-way mode?
Second, has anyone used a J-stick or Happ Super and made a 4-8 way switch like the one on the Omni-Stick? It looks like a simple metal plate with a bar to switch from 4 to 8 way. Has anyone done this? and does anyone produce something like this? Here's a photo of the underside of the Omin-Stick. If anyone has another photo of the switch mech that would be greatly helpful.

I modified a J-Stick to be switchable.
I filed down the bump in the 4/8 way switch so that the lever would slide freely without lifting up. Then I drilled a small hole in the end of the switch lever and made a loop with stiff wire. I then attached this to a screw-eye that was attached to a dowel rod. I drilled a hole in the left side of my control panel and inserted the rod. Then I put a knob on the dowel.
The end result? Pull the plunger out for 4-way and push it in for 8-way.
This was before the J-Stick plus. If I were doing it over I would have bought the J-Stick Plus instead.

That's brilliant! I have a J-stick (regular one) and I like it a great deal... I like the side push/pull idea... that REALLY gets my brain going. THanks! BTW, do you have any pics of that?

Sorry that was a modified T-Stick.
