I'd go with the I-pac if it suits your needs. The quality of the product and customer service from Andy can't be beaten.

I usually base my choice not on which one, but on what else the seller has that I need. I have built tons of Mame cabinets and IPac and Keywhiz are for all practical purposes interchangable. The feature set is mildly different, but the vast majority of users aren't going to be using any of the "features" at all. I certainly never have.

Right now I THINK both my mames have a keywhiz in them, but I have also used tons of Ipacs as well.

Exactly, I forgot to mention what else the seller has.  For example, I would buy a keywiz because it's cheaper, but I figure Im already buying $100 or so from Andy, so shipping would even out the gap anyways, and Id rather get my products at the same time so I dont break one trying to attach random <auto-censored> to it to see "if it works" ;)

i prefer ipac because andy has awesome customer service, and really quick shipping. plus if you buy some joysticks or other stuff from him its definately worth it

Actually if you look at my thread, they explain alot of how the two encoders are virtually the same and both have good support.
