Purchased a power entry model from mouser and my intentions are to wiring a surge strip into the back of it. Reading the module has me confused. I'll explain best I can. On the module it is labeled like this.....
L
N Nuetral
+ Assuming this is HOT
2a
2
The pole marked L is connected to a pole that says 2a
From power strip I haven't spliced yet, but should be
HOT white wire
Nuetral Black wire
Ground Green
Thanks Guys.....I can probably figure it out...but would rather it work the first time.....don't have the link handy, but it is from mouser......Schurter Power Entry Module DC111-001-003

Seven bucks for one of those, huh? I ripped mine out of a dead power supply... :) Gad, I can't imagine how many of those I've thrown out...

I know what you mean, I just tossed out 6 AT power supplies about a month ago thinking what would I do with these relics. But hey...new stuff is always nicer...hehe...

I have at least taken to cutting off all the wiring from the old power supplies so I have scrap wire and Molex connectors to spare... I also pull all the fans, LED's, switches, and removable 3.5" drive bays from old cases that I throw out.
